My PHILOSOPHY

I believe people are doing the best they can and it isn’t a matter of trying harder, it’s a matter of getting a new perspective and learning new ways to solve their problems.  Sometimes, patterns keep repeating in our lives and without the help of a professional, we are unable to see what they are.  Each of us has a unique history that impacts how we see ourselves and how we function in the world.  When painful experiences are unresolved, the emotions build-up and stay stuck inside of us until they are cleared out and released!   Many of us naturally cope with this by trying to avoid, numb or just forget about the painful things happened to us.  We are only human right? What else are we supposed to do? Life will always go on…

Ever wonder why we continue to be in the same situation we used to be in but just with different people?  The feelings are same, but it is a whole different scenario?  It’s because our brain has a way of recreating our past and bringing up old feelings so we can heal them.  Essentially, we repeat what we don’t resolve and there is no escaping it! Luckily, there are finally answers!

The new wave of psychotherapy & neuroscience has thousands of evidence-based studies to show that symptoms are just a manifestation of a bigger issue that needs your attention.  Together, we can figure out what the body is trying to tell you and what needs to change.  I always tell my clients, “I don’t treat symptoms, I treat what caused them.”

Once we find the root cause and implement the proper therapy, being EMDR, NET, DBT, or The Feeling State Protocol for Addiction (FSAP), the symptoms will naturally dissipate and you will start to function as the whole human being you were created to be!

I truly believe that each and every experience brought you to this moment and no matter how bad you feel there is always hope.  If you are scared or uneasy about your therapeutic journey, I can assure you that I will be patient and meet you where you are at! Together we can find solutions, one step at a time.

After 14 years of being in this profession, I can still say that I love my job! I love connecting with people, I love being the inspiration people need when all they do is criticize themselves and I love hearing all they've had to overcome. Most of all though, I love the feeling I get when I know I've really made a difference in someone's life.

I would be honored to hear your story…
